William S. Wilcox, 89, of Eustis, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. Born in New Haven, CT, he graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, CT. He was drafted into the Army in 1943 and discharged in 1946 as a Staff Sergeant. He worked at the New Orleans Port of Embarkation Station Hospital as a X-Ray & Surgical Tech. Bill moved to Eustis in 1946 and graduated from the University of Florida in 1950 with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry. He was ranch manager of Geiger Farms until 1960 when he went to work for the Postal Service. He retired in 1986. Bill was a member of the Eustis Elks #1578; Golden Triangle Moose Lodge #874, First Presbyterian Church, Eustis. In 1999 he survived Lung & Colon Cancer. He loved collecting railroad memorabilia and loved sporting clays. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Wenda C. Wilcox, Mount Dora, FL, Karen W. Natt, Towanda, PA, Karol J. Dlugoszewski, Harvest, AL. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
