William C. Gower

William Carroll Gower, 91, of Eustis, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010. Born in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, he moved to Eustis in 1982 from Miami, Florida. He was a Machinist for Eastern Airlines. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Eustis. He had taught preschoolers in Sunday School for over 60 years. He served his county in the US Army Air Corps. Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie C. Gower, Eustis, FL; son, Bruce Gower, Budapest, Hungary; daughter, Carol Elmore, Umatilla, FL; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Eustis on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Monday at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from 2-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Handy Man Ministry, PO Box 129, Eustis, FL 32727.
