William A. (Bill) Alberson

November 20, 1925 — May 18, 2019

William A. (Bill) Alberson, 93, of Eustis, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. Born in Chipley, Georgia he moved to Eustis in 1930 from Chipley . He retired as a Vice President of Golden Gem Growers of Umatilla and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Eustis. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and loved the game of golf. He was a former officer of Pine Meadows Country Club of Eustis and the Mount Dora Golf Association. Bill was an avid University of Florida Gator fan and in his youth was a short track race car driver. He is survived by his wife: Bebe (Granny) of Eustis; Son: Michael C. (Becky) Alberson of Eustis; Daughters: Linda M. Wiley of Eustis and Beth (Claude) Pennacchia of Tavares; Predeceased Children: Curtis and Sharon; Predeceased Son-In-Law: David Wiley; Brother: David Alberson of Brooksville; Sister: Libby Moore of Melbourne; Predeceased Brothers: Henry Alberson and Bobby Alberson; Predeceased Sisters: Ethel Wells and Kitty Matthews; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Celebration of Life for Bill will be on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Harden/Pauli Chapel with receiving of friends from 2:00-3:00 PM before the service.
