Mr. Warren P. Kurtz

Warren P. Kurtz, 93, of Leesburg, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010. Warren was born on June 17, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Warren and Sophia Kurtz. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1936 to 1946, and was overseas during WWII. He moved to Lake County, Florida, in 1948. He retired as Vice President of a trucking company. Warren was a member of the St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis and was a past volunteer with Meals on Wheels and with Florida Hospital-Waterman. Warren is predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Kurtz; son, Warren Kurtz, Jr.; and sister, Elizabeth Cooke. He is survived by his wife, Lucienne M. Kurtz of Leesburg; sons, Michael Kurtz of Annapolis, MD and Steve Kurtz of Leesburg; daughter, Kathleen Sabatino of Lakeland, FL; and 5 Grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel in Eustis on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
