Virginia Rose Peter

Virginia Rose Peter, 94, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Harley & Rose Lena (Marsico) Davis. Virginia married the love of her life, Lawrence Peter, in 1946. They shared 58 years together and had seven children together. The family moved to Tavares, Florida in 1979 from Allen Park, Michigan, and later moved to Eustis. Virginia was a Nurse for over 50 years. She worked at Florida Hospital Waterman and was a member of Trinity Church, Eustis. She was involved in local Business and Professional Women's Groups as well as being active with the March of Dimes. Virginia is survived by her Son, Larry (Nancy) Peter of Hudson, FL; Six Daughters, Pamela (Fred) Barckholtz of White Lake, MI;  Sandra (Jerry) Swiney of Southgate, MI; Brenda (Tom) Vasher, Ph. D. of Livonia, MI; Tina (Ray) Howell of Livonia, MI; Becky (Larry) Moore of Dearborn Heights, MI; and Angie Holcomb of Tavares, FL; Sister, Julia Louise Petty of Sabina, OH; Twelve Grandchildren, Terry, Mark, Larry, Joshua, Kevan, Ryan, Crystal, Sandy, Scott, Heather, Jacob, and Brianna; as well as numerous Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Peter, her parents, Harley and Rose Davis, her granddaughter, Heidi Lynn Barckholtz, her brother, Weldon Davis, and her sister, Margaret Nichols. Services will be held at Trinity Church, Eustis, on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Private Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the church, on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM.
