Velma Jane Wilson Ritchey

Velma Jane Wilson Ritchey, 88, of Tavares, FL, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Born in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania, she moved to Tavares in 2006 from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was a Homemaker and attended the Pilgrim Holyness Church in Twin Rocks, PA. Velma loved to crochet and work with plastic canvas. She avidly read her Bible. She is survived by her 2 sons, Edward James Ritchey, Johnstown, PA, Roy Dillon Ritchey, Laurel Run, PA; 2 daughters, Laura Eilene Briggs, Tavares, FL, Anna E. Eckman, Stevens, PA; brother, Clay Dillon Wilson, Johnstown, PA; sister, Aldamae Larue Kennedy, Easton, MD; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Oliver & Anna Gertrude (Willman) Wilson; 2 daughters, Evelyn Mae Ritchey, Ruth Refina Ritchey; 2 brothers, Charles Edward Wilson, Oliver James Wilson; 3 sisters, Evelyn Gertrude Landrum, Mazie Wilson & Ruth Eilene Evans. Services will be held at the Askew Houser Funeral Home Chapel, Nanty Glo, PA, on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano, PA.
