Thomas Robert James

Thomas Robert James, 71, of Sorrento. In the early hours of October 15th, 2020 Thomas “TJ” James passed away. A native of Valley Stream, NY, TJ was born on July 25th, 1949. He was an accomplished athlete who was active in baseball, wrestling and football. After high school, he attended Albert Lee College on a football scholarship. And, upon graduation, moved to South Florida where he became a beloved educator and coach for over 30 years. TJ will be cherished as a teacher, leader, mentor, role model and a friend. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication and commitment to his students, athletes, community and family. TJ is survived by his wife Karen James; siblings Richard and Cecilia; children Chrissy, Greg, and Mary; and 8 grandchildren: Amelia, Eddie, Lilly, Collin, Bailey, Aidan, Dallin, and Ethan.
