Thomas Ralph Ehlert, 80, of Leesburg, FL passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he moved to Leesburg in 2004 from Lomira, Wisconsin. Tom was employed by Books A Million in Leesburg for the last six years. Tom was a Teacher and Principal in Montana prior to his retirement and was an educator for 42 years. He worked at Glacier National Park during his summers. Thomas was a life member and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. A member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis, FL. He was in the Readers Ministry for over 40 years. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy during Korea. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Lillian Ehlert of Leesburg, FL; son, Matthew T. (Cynthia) Ehlert of Oviedo, FL; grandchildren, Kristin L. Ehlert, Tasha L. Ehlert, Charles D. Henley, Sarah R. Ehlert, Tabetha M. Ehlert, Casey M. Ehlert, and Matthew C. Ehlert; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Thomas is predeceased by his brother Leon F. Ehlert. He was always a source of strength for is son, Matt. His hard work, determination, honesty, faith and love have always been a compass to lead Matt in the right direction. Thomas spent 27 years teaching in Browning, something Matt was very proud of. We would like to let the community know it has brought us great comfort during this time to know he touched so very many lives. For those of you who were in his classroom, please take a moment to remember him and how he may have been a positive force for you as well. Thomas contributed to De La Salle Blackfeet School in Browning, MT. We would like to honor him with a living memorial, “The Thomas R. Ehlert Memorial Scholarship Fund.” In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests all memorial gifts be your generous contribution to this fund at De La Salle Blackfeet School, PO Box 1489, Browning, MT 59417 with “The Thomas R.
