Thomas William "Bill" Bennett

Thomas William "Bill" Bennett, 84, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012. Born in Miami, Florida, he moved to Grand Island in 1982 from Miami, Florida. He retired from Southern Bell as a Data Supervisor after working there for over 34 years. Bill was a member of the Eustis Elks Lodge, Telephone Pioneers of America, Masonic Lodge, AMVETS and the American Legion. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vergie D. Bennett, Grand Island, FL; sister, Barbara Towns, Tavares, FL.
