Teddy R. Bland, Sr., 77, of Mount Dora, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Teddy was born in Waycross, Georgia but grew up in Panama City, FL, where he lived most of his life prior to marrying his wife, Marcella. They moved to Mount Dora in 1975 from Panama City, Florida. He was an Industrial Electrician, specializing in the nuclear power industry. He was a member of the and First Baptist Church Mount Dora and the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 606. Teddy served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marcella Bland of Mount Dora, FL; son, Dr. Teddy (Meigan) Bland, Jr. of Mount Dora, FL; 2 daughters, Alicia Sue (Michael) Beims of Leesburg, FL, Allison Marie (Rick Baber) Hartog of Mount Dora, FL; brother, Mack A. Bland of Panama City, FL; 8 grandchildren, Colton, Mason, Caitlin, Caleb, Madison, Walker, Channing, Wells; 3 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Landon and Laker. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Mount Dora on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora. The family will receive friends at Harden Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Friday evening from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
