Suzanne L. James, 80, of Tavares, Florida passed away peacefully at Bedrock Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, Eustis, Florida after a long journey through dementia. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard G. James, and two daughters, Deborah James Howard (Timothy) of Stratford, Connecticut and Marci James Raney (Geoffery) of Phoenix, Arizona. Also survived by a sister, Janice W. Dunn of Montpelier, Vermont, and a brother, Everett Marcil of Phoenix, Arizona along with nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends and family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Everett Marcil and Dorothea (Leigl) Marcil and her son, Ricky James. Born in Middletown, Connecticut, Sue spent her early life in Cromwell, Connecticut, where she met her husband, Dick James. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Sue lived a short stint in both Virginia Beach, Virginia and Daytona Beach, Florida. She and her family settled in Cobalt, Connecticut, where she lived until 2004 when they moved to Tavares, Florida. Sue's professional life was in banking, but her true love was collecting antiques, decorating her home, and participating in many crafts from painting to quilting among other mediums.
