Spencer Bruce Cowan

Spencer Bruce Cowan, 79, of Eustis, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Florida Waterman Hospital. He was born November 13, 1938 in Syracuse, New York, son of Artman and Sarah Austin Cowan. He married Connie Ellis, December 2, 1972, at the Lacona Baptist Church, Lacona, NY. Connie passed November 30, 2017. Spencer served in the US Marine Corps. The Marine Corps meant the world to Spencer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 40 years, member of Lake Ontario Chapter 124 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a volunteer firefighter in Lacona, NY for thirty plus years. He retired as a supervisor from Schoeller Technical Papers, Inc. Pulaski, NY after thirty four years. He is survived by his brother, Bert Cowan, Sandy Creek, NY; sister, Linda Cowan, Mount Dora, FL, brother and sister in law, Mike and Sue Ellis, East Moline, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
