Shawn Renee Folsom Barlow Ogden

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Shawn Renee Folsom Barlow Ogden, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Shawn left this world on March 10, 2025, just shy of her 53rd birthday, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. Born on March 17, 1972, in Leesburg, Florida, Shawn was a force of nature—fierce in her love, strong in her convictions, and always willing to fight for the people she cared about. She spent much of her life in Eustis, Florida, before making Aurora, Colorado her home in 2017. Shawn dedicated her career to Advertising Sales, where her energy, charisma, and determination made her an unstoppable force. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Umatilla, Florida, where her faith guided her through life’s joys and challenges. But above all, Shawn was a mother first. Her sons, Cole Whittington Bryce Barlow of Eustis, FL, and Chase Carlton Leonard Ogden of Mount Dora, FL, were the center of her universe. She poured every ounce of love she had into them, shaping them into the men they are today. She adored her grandchildren—Aiden Michael Lillo, Scarlet Rose Barlow, and Luke Cole Barlow—who brought her endless joy and laughter. They will always carry her spirit with them. She is also survived by her brothers, Marvin L. "Beaver" Pelt, Jr. of Ocala, FL, and Thomas F. "Rick" Pelt of Calhoun, LA, and her sister, Angela Drew of Aurora, CO. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her quick wit, her endless support, and the way she could light up a room with her presence. A memorial service to honor Shawn’s life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida. Family and close friends are invited for visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Following the service, we will escort her to her final resting place at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis, FL. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love, her laughter, and her spirit will live on in all of us. She was more than just our mother—she was our protector, our rock, our home. And while she may no longer be with us in body, her love will never fade.
