Sarah J. Stiver

December 12, 1948 — January 16, 2021

Sarah was born Sarah Jean Wilkerson in the small town of Kennett, Missouri on December 12, 1948. Her family moved to the Central Florida area when she was a child and she attended Orange County public schools, graduating from Apopka High School in 1966. Forty nine years ago she married the love of her life, Wendell "Richie" Stiver and together they made a comfortable home for their children, Chad and Tracy. Sarah's house was always filled with love for her family and friends. Her enjoyments were working in her garden, playing on the computer, and making crocheted Afghans for nearly everyone she knew. Her passion and greatest light in her life were her grandchildren, Cierra, Jake and Caley. She was also like a second mom to many of her nieces, nephews and friends of her children - a testament to the closeness of her family and the abundance of love in her heart for those that surrounded her.

Sarah was a lifetime member of Lake Oak Baptist Church and her faith in God was committed and strong. She went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2021, surrounded by loved ones whose hearts hurt to let her go, but were confident that her soul went straight to Heaven.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Wendell "Richie" Stiver of Mt. Dora, Chad (Tonya) Stiver of Astatula and daughter Tracy (Mark) Sharp of Eustis and her grandchildren Cierra, Jake and Caley. She is also survived by her brother Wayne Wilkerson of Poplar Bluff, MO, and sisters Beverly Dykes of Eustis, and Toney Shoemaker of Apopka.

Due to concerns regarding the Corona virus, there will only be a small private ceremony for family at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.
