Sara Hensley Babb

Sara Hensley Babb, 89, of Altoona, FL died on Sunday, September 6, 2009. Born in Columbia, SC, she moved to Lake County in 1944 from Columbia. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Umatilla where she served as the pianist for over 40 years. She was secretary for Principal James Gibson at Umatilla Elementary School, Ken Bragg's Personal Secretary at the Lake Co. School Board Office and Vo-Tech. Sara's favorite activities included, shopping, gardening and visiting with friends and family especially her grandsons. She is survived by her son, Howard H. "Skip" Babb (Ginger) of Eustis, FL; sister, Ann Hoyt of Columbia, SC; 2 grandsons, Cassidy "Casey" Babb, Harrison H. Babb. Sara was preceded in death by her son David Wayne Babb. Services will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brooks Braswell officiating.
