Rusty Dale Hawthorne

Rusty Dale Hawthorne, 56, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Born in Coshocton, Ohio, he moved to Florida in 1967 from Ohio and has been a Lake County resident since 1974. He was a Maintenance Technician with the City of Leesburg prior to his retirement. Rusty also had a brief career as a Firefighter. Rusty was a very active member of the Covenant Life Church of God, Fruitland Park, where he was part of the children's ministry. Rusty loved to read and was a fan of Sci-Fi, he also enjoyed blacksmithing. He is predeceased by his Sister, Barbara Jean Hawthorne and Father, Arthur Junior Hawthorne. Rusty is survived by his Wife, Debra Kay Hawthorne of Leesburg, FL; Mother, Marcella Rose Hawthorne of Fruitland Park, FL; Son, Adam Powers of Leesburg, FL; Daughter, Kathrine Hesidence of Leesburg, FL; Sister, Kay L. Taylor of Fruitland Park, FL; and Nieces, Sherie Rose Taylor and Sabrina Kay Taylor of Fruitland Park, FL. Services will be held at Covenant Life Church of God, Fruitland Park on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
