Rudolph "Rudy" Kirst

Rudolph “Rudy” Kirst of Eustis, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Rudy grew up in and attended school in Canada, where he met his wife Mona. Rudy moved to Detroit and started his career as a tool and die maker. The family moved to Florida in 1979, where Rudy and his son, David, co-founded Blue Sky Tool and Die which became Kirtech Enterprises. After retirement, Rudy continued to come to the shop daily, enjoying his passion of hearing machines humming and seeing his son and grandson continue his work. Rudy loved old Westerns and World Wars I and II memorabilia. He was always smiling and enjoyed visiting family and spending time with his grandchildren. Rudy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mona Kirst, son, David Kirst (Marilyn) of Mount Dora, Florida and son, Dennis Kirst (Cheryl) of Eustis, Florida. Rudy is also survived by grandsons: Jason (Ashley), Matthew and Jacob and great-granddaughters: Fallon and Bella.

Family and friends are invited to the home of Dennis and Cheryl Kirst on Saturday, May 6th at 12:00 noon to celebrate Rudy's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rudy’s memory to the American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL.
