Rose Evard McFarland

ROSE EVARD McFARLAND, 67 of Seminole, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 23, 2010 at the ET York Care Center at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida. Born January 11, 1943 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rose was a retired property manager and taught pre-school and adult education. She volunteered at the Christian Service Center in Ocoee, FL for many years. She enjoyed bowling and also played softball, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Evard of Fort Wayne, IN , her brother, Hank Evard of Muncie, IN and her sister, Sandee Owens of Hunterstown, IN. Rose is survived by her husband, Richard McFarland, of Seminole, FL; daughters Rochelle Scott (Ed) of Gainesville, FL and Kristi Campbell (Steve) of Geneva, FL; brother, Ralph Evard (Joyce)of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Evard of Ft Wayne, IN, Greg Hastreiter (Marlene)of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister Lisa Reader (Scott) of Fort Wayne , IN; mother Evelyn Evard of Fort Wayne, IN and step-mother Phyllis Evard of Ft Wayne, IN; four grandchildren, TJ, Ellie, Liam and Trevor; and nephew Robbie Herrick of Tavares, FL. Funeral services will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, FL on Sunday, June 27 at 1:00pm, officiated by Rev. Paul Gutherie. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. The family asks that instead of flowers to please donate directly to the ET York Care Center at Haven Hospice (havenhospice.org), where Rose spent the last days of her life in the greatest of care and love.
