Ronald Charles Sherritt

Ronald "Ron" Charles Sherritt, 70, died on Saturday, August 12, 2017, surrounded by his family at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, FL. He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Susan Kivlehan Sherritt; his daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Deakins; his son, Mark (Christian) Sherritt; his daughter, Kelly (John) Robertson; his five grandchildren; sister, Brenda (Jack) Mitchiner; nieces and nephews; and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Dean C. Sherritt, father Charles L. Sherritt, and mother Colleen K. Sherritt. Ron served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Grenadier. He was a contractor in Lake County for many years. He is also remembered for flying remote control airplanes with the Southern Eagles Squadron Club. A service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flower donations, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
