Ronald L. Houghton

Ronald L. Houghton, 72, of Mount Dora, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born in Santaquin, Utah, he moved to Mount Dora in 1996 from Tooele, Utah. He retired as Petty Officer First Class wit hthe U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, VFW Post 8087, and of the AMVETS post 192. He is survived by Wife - Jewel J. Houghton of Mount Dora, FL; Sons - Jerry and Mark Houghton of Tooele, UT; Daughters - Lori Drake of Tooele, UT, Shari Gleed of Eagle Mountain, UT and AngelMerrill of Salt Lake City, UT; Brother - Dennis Houghton of St, George, UT; Sisters - Lael Mitchell and Louise Tischner, of Santaquin, UT; 17 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Step Sons-David Simmons of Leesburg, FL and Donald Simmons of Mt. Dora, FL; Step Daughter-Judy Harp of Springfield, TN; 5 Step Grandchildren and 2 Step Great-Grandchildren.
