Robert C. Smith

Robert C Smith, 88, of Mount Dora, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Born in Brownsville, Texas, he moved to Mount Dora in 2020 from Campwood, TX. He was an executive for Bell South Telecommunications and was of Baptist faith. Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert enjoyed working on computers and going to Hamfests (convention of amateur radio enthusiasts). He is survived by Son, Leo C. Smith of Mount Dora, FL, Daughter, Lisa Ann Strack of Apopka, FL, Sister, Llila Sithcome of Center, TX, Granddaughter, Tiffany Smith, Grandsons, Tyler Smith and Andrew Strack. A memorial service with military honors will be held at First Baptist Church of Tangerine on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM . Interment will take place at Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana at a later date and time. In lieu of floiwers or donations, Robert would want people to take that money and go out for a nice dinner.
