Robert E. Humphrey, 80, of Mount Dora, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. Born in Westfield, Massachusetts, he moved to Mount Dora in 1982 from Madison, Connecticut. He owned Simplex, Inc. of Mount Dora from 1982 - 2001. He was a Mechanical Engineer and was a member of Bay Street Baptist Church, Eustis. Robert served in the US Army during Korea. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane M. Humphrey, Mount Dora, FL; son, Robert L. Humphrey, Ocala, FL; daughter, Christiana H. Tharp, Weeki Wachee, FL; sister, Hazel H.
