Rev. Richard M. Sprague

Rev. Richard M. Sprague, 90, of Tavares, Florida, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. Born in Flint, Michigan, he moved to Tavares in 1972 from St. Petersburg, Florida. He was former Minister of the Asbury Covenant Church of Tavares and served as pastor at numerous churches in the United Methodist Church Florida Conference and in the Evangelical Covenant Churches. Rev. Sprague is predeceased by his Wife, Betty Jean Sprague; Son, Jonathan Sprague; and Grandson, Jordan Sprague. He is survived by his Sons, Kent (Kim) Sprague of Tavares, FL and Mark Sprague of Grand Island, FL; Brother, Bruce Sprague of Linden, MI; Sister, Judy Holmes of Tavares, FL; Grandchildren, Cody (Samantha) and Jacob (Deidra) Sprague, Great-Grandchildren, Zachary, Knox, Noah Sprague and a great granddaughter on the way; and numerous extended family and friends. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Interment will be held at Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island.
