Richard E. Robbins

Richard E. Robbins, 77, of Leesburg, FL, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born in Stonington, Maine, he relocated to Tavares, Florida in 1982 from Bangor, Maine and eventually settled in Leesburg. Mr. Robbins was a welder by trade most of his life, starting in the shipyards of Maine. In his later years he worked as toll collector then moved on to volunteer work at the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity.  He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Robbins of North Augusta, SC; 4 grandchildren, Bryon Robbins, Allison Fick, Matthew Fick, Nathan Sawvell and 1 great granddaughter, Madelynn Robbins.
