Richard H. Kees, 77, of Tavares, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he & his wife have been winter residents of Tavares since 2004 coming from Blairsville, GA. He was a Personal Insurance Salesman with Liberty Mutual Life Insurance for over 25 years. Richard was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis andserved in the Marine Corps during Korea. He is survived by his wife, Catherine A. Kees, Tavares, FL; son, Daniel Kees, Jacksonville, FL; 5 daughters, Margann Wilhelm, Miami, FL, Lori Kees, Fort Myers, FL, Mary Beth Kees, Longwood, FL, Sharon Rhoden, Easley, SC, Jenny Guthery, Miami, FL; sister, Barbara LeRoy, Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at Tavares Cemetery.
