Richard Gordon Green, 76, of Tavares, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Gordon and Arlene Green, he moved to Tavares in 2006 from Neenah, Wisconsin. He worked in maintenance for a paper mill and proudly served in the US Army. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, walleye fishing on Lake Winnebago with Ken Hibbard and hunting the beautiful forests that blanket his beloved home state of Wisconsin. He was also a relentless sports fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary A. Green of Tavares, FL; 3 daughters, Pamela Green of Mellen, WI, Patricia (Michael) Angell of Wiersdale, FL, Stephanie Green of Neenah, WI; 3 sisters, Geraldine (Dale) Guyant of Washington, Genevieve (Dr. Nyles) Eskritt of Waupaca, WI, Rhonda (David) Towne of Waupaca, WI; 2 grandchildren, Logan Hibbard and Breeanna (Evan) Glendinning. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Green; great-granddaughter, Finley Glendinning. A military graveside service will be held for Richard at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Online Guestbook available at
