Richard Wayne Stover, 82 of Eustis, FL transitioned to our Lord following 13 years of health battles. He was born to Dick and Hazel Stover of Berrien Springs, Michigan on September 5, 1936. He grew up on a fruit farm and worked along side his Dad before becoming a plumber. In 1990 Dick moved to FL where his career took many turns as the years passed. He accepted a position as Mechanical Superintendent with Lake Mechanical taking him across Florida from Miami to Tallahassee. He proudly finished many different projects, including prisons, hospitals and fun places like Disney World. In 1997, after moving to Mount Dora, Dick and his wife, Lois discovered the Mount Dora Center for the Arts and for over 20 years Dick along with Lois, volunteered serving the MDCA. He was happy to do anything asked of him, earning him the nickname “Dickel do it”, as he was always ready to help anyone in need. After retirement Dick did Home Inspections for a short time due to his failing health. Dick was predeceased by his parents, and by his sisters Joan, and Janet. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lois Crisp Stover; his daughter, Lana Stover Henderson (Howard); Sons, Wayne Stover (Johanna) and Alan Stover (Pamela); brother, Conrad Stover of Berrien Springs MI; sister, Judith Verhoek of Balwin, MI; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
