Mrs. Cook, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Rebecca was born on October 14, 1931 in Dyer, Tennessee to the late Clarence Edwin Couch and Mary Lucille Norman Couch. She was a 1950 graduate of Yorkville High School, Yorkville, Tennessee. Over the course of her life, Rebecca worked for various retail stores including Walgreens, Piggly Wiggly, and J.C. Penney. She retired from J. C. Penny in 1996. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Dyer, Tennessee. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Howell Harris, Sr.; son, George Howell Harris, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Donna Lynn Harris; step-son, Leonard Lamar Cook, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Leonard Lamar Cook, Sr., Dyersburg, Tennessee; daughter, Anita Harris Snapp (Beryl), Clermont, Florida; son Michael Harris, Apopka, Florida; grandson, Rodney Wildridge, ( Gina) Cedar Grove, Tennessee; granddaughter Amanda Harris Kirtchner, Apopka Florida. Three sisters, Betty L Moore, Whiteville, Tennessee; Judy Crocker (William), Trenton, Tennessee and Patricia Hamilton, Medina, Tennessee.
