Peter E. DeIuliis, 76, passed from this life on to his Savior on July 21, 2016 from congestive heart failure with his family at his bedside. Peter was born on January 8, 1940 in Altoona, PA to Wido DeIuliis and Hilda Robinson.
As a young boy Peter and his family moved to a farm in nearby Hollidaysburg. He graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1957 and moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL with his family soon after. He was also a member of the Army National Guard in PA and FL.
His career in the A/C and Refrigeration industry began soon after arriving in Florida. He worked for several companies, and later became the National Sales Manager of Uniweld Products, Inc. It was there that he met his wife Sally.
In the early 70’s, Peter joined the sales representative firm of J.W. Parrott & Associates as an independent sales representative. In 1985 he formed his own agency PED Associates Inc. with his wife Sally. Being a salesman was his passion, and he loved every minute of it.
In 1982 Peter had a massive coronary in West Palm Beach, FL where he was given 24 hours to live. With the guidance of St. Jude, he was transported to Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and into the care of Dr. Zachariah Zachariah, who cared for him until he could make the trip to the Cleveland Clinic heart hospital in Cleveland, OH for life saving heart surgery. Peter lived another 34 years, traveled extensively in the United States and worldwide, and achieved all of his hopes and dreams. These last years he spent in the care of Dr. Henry Lesmes, Dr. Adina Ion and team at Cardiovascular Associates of Lake County. Thank you all. Also, thank you to the Cardiovascular Unit at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL for your love and care in Peter’s final days. Our 2 day family reunion where we laughed through our tears was a wonderful way to end a wonderful life. We will always cherish those days.
Peter and Sally were married for 54 years and had 3 children who survive him; Sally Anne Ledoux (Gil), Michael DeIuliis (Theresa), Susan Lowell (James), 5 beautiful granddaughters; Tara DeIuliis Luska (Christopher), Jeanine, Emily and Abby Ledoux, and Allison Lowell, and 2 grandsons Kyle Ledoux and Austin Clayton. He is also survived by his siblings William DeIuliis Sr., Beverly Caulfield and Catherine Pirtle, and several loving nieces and nephews. And last, but not least, his feline buddies Mary and Buster.
A kind and honest family man, Peter will be greatly missed.
