Mrs. Pauline Zawacki of Mount Dora joined her beloved husband, Bill (Boles) in heaven on May 22, 2015, with her son, Billy, and her daughter-in-law Cynthia by her side. Born in Browndale, PA, near Forest City, as a teenager Pauline ventured to Newark, NJ in search of work to help support her family back home. It was in a women’s boarding house owned by Mrs. Sophie Zawacki (Bill’s mother) that Pauline met her husband-to-be. Of all the girls in the boarding house, Bill had his eye on only one - Pauline. Bill told his mother that he wanted to meet the “one in the yellow robe” who scurried by. They were married in August 1946 and their enduring marriage lasted over 61 years. In January 1984, Pauline and Bill moved from Cranford, NJ to Orange Blossom Gardens in Lady Lake, only later to purchase a house in Mount Dora. Pauline and Bill were a very sociable couple who enjoyed the company of their family and many friends. They enjoyed traveling and cruising - Their last being an Alaskan cruise and bus trips to Branson, MO and Biloxi, MS. Pauline was a communicant of St. Mary of the Lakes Roman Catholic Church, Eustis, where previously she and her husband served as ushers. One of ten siblings, Pauline is survived by three sisters: Julie, Lillian and Frances. In addition to her son, Pauline is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann, grandsons Tyler and Kyle, and former son-in-law, Ian. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 8:00 AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Monday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Pauline’s laugh and eternal smile will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. Thank you to each and at Cornerstone Hospice for their compassionate care of Pauline.
