Paul A. Ducharme, 87 of Leesburg, FL passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. He was born in Stanstead, Canada to his parents Ovide and Irene Ducharme. As a young man, he became a US citizen and joined the U.S. Army. He moved to Connecticut in 1960 where he found employment as a welder and continued in that field along with construction work. Paul fell in love with Florida when he visited it for the first time to attend his son's wedding. After that all he could talk about is retiring and moving to Florida, which he did in 2002.
Paul is survived by his children Monique West of CT, Norman Ducharme of MA, Nancy Dwire of NC, James Ducharme of CT, and Jennifer Gada of NC; his sisters, Lucille LeBlanc of MA and Georgette Stratton of Canada, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family and friends, and especially his dearest friends, Patricia LeBlanc, and Robert and Linda Benoit with whom he resided for the past 10 years.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, his son, Richard Ducharme, his grandson, Chad Brailey, his brothers, Gerard Ducharme, Leo Ducharme and Claude Ducharme, and his sister, Delores Ducharme.
