Pamela J. Craven, "Pam," 56, of Eustis, passed away from pneumonia and related complications at Florida Hospital Waterman on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, she moved to Eustis in 1989 from Port Charlotte, Florida. She was a long-time Hockey Mom who drove her three sons literally the equivalent to the moon and back getting them to hockey rinks for their practices and games over a 12-year period, culminating in a national championship win in 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio in which her husband and oldest sons coached, and her youngest son was team captain. Just after that, Pam was stricken by an extremely rare form of ovarian cancer, leading to a 7-year battle with the disease and its complications. Her record-setting length of survival and amazing ability to heal taught doctors new things about ovarian cancer, one of the nation's deadliest. Pam was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eustis, and is survived by her husband of 33 years, Brian Craven, Eustis, FL; 3 sons, Jonathon Neal Craven, Eustis, FL, Allen Lee Craven, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Mark Douglas Craven, Eustis, FL; mother, Elaine Eisaman, Port Charlotte, FL; brother, Jeff Eisaman, Port Charlotte, FL; 2 sisters, Karen Miller, Port Charlotte, FL, Kathy Shaffer, Port Charlotte, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Eisaman. Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Eustis on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 3:00 PM.
