Oscar Frank Van De Velde, 81, of Tavares, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Tavares in 1994 from Armada, Michigan. He was a Paint Engineer for General Motors before retiring and was Lutheran. Oscar served in the US Marine Corps during Korea. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene Van De Velde, Tavares, FL; 2 sons, Stephen Van De Velde, Bushnell, FL, Scott Van De Velde, Goodells, MI; daughter - Sandra Van De Velde, Memphis, TN; 2 grandchildren.
