Orin “Bruce” Leppla, 62, of Eustis, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Hospice House in Tavares FL. Bruce was born in Bismarck, ND on November 6, 1956 to Orin and Lois Leppla. He grew up in Rapid City, SD, graduating from Stevens High School in 1974. After High School he married Sally Battle and they had one son Matthew. After his first marriage ended, he married Kris Zeise in 1982. He worked doing concrete construction throughout his life, many years with Geidel Concrete Construction. He also played bass guitar and sang in the Sudden Rain Band and for many years with the Southern Comfort Band. Bruce and Kris moved to Eustis, FL in 2001. He was a Superintendent working with AACC Construction, and most recently with Russell Fickett Complete Construction. Grateful to have shared his life are his Wife of 37 years, Kris Leppla of Eustis, FL; Son, Matthew Leppla and his wife April of Weatherford, TX; Step-Father, Darrell Smith of Fort Gibson, OK; Brothers, Russell Smith of Germany and Mark Smith of Fort Gibson, OK, Sister, JoAnne Boken of Rapid City, SD; and 2 Grandchildren, Tripp and Madeline. He was preceded in death by his Father Orin Leppla Sr., Mother Lois Smith and his in-laws George and Mae Louise Zeise. Memorial services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice
