Norma Iris Hernandez, age 66, of Apopka, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Norma was born in Chicago, Illinois and later made Apopka her home in 1990. She dedicated her career to Human Resources at a local blood bank and found solace in her faith as a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Altamonte Springs. Norma is fondly remembered by her surviving family: her daughter, Monica Hernandez Pagan and son in law, Nolan Pagan of Apopka, FL; her brother, Nelson Mercado of Chicago, IL; her sister, Gladys Smith and brother-in-law, Kevin Smith of Grand Island, FL; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Malachi, Nolan, and Yari. She is now reunited with her loving parents, Demetrio and Narcisa Mercado. Norma's kindness and warmth will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
