Myrtle Lorraine Kuchler died September 29, 2011, at the age of 92. Lorry was born in Evansville, Indiana in 1919 to Edward and Beulah Rystrom. She was the youngest of five siblings. The family later moved back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lorry married Linton A. Kuchler, October 12, 1940. She was a model for department stores in Milwaukee, and carried a flare for style through out her life. Lorry and Lin lived in six different states. Her love, caring and strength made it possible for the family to acclimate in their new home easily. Lorry was a gifted artist and loved to paint. She was also an avid golfer, playing with several groups. Lorry and Lin loved to entertain their many friends and family. She was a wonderful hostess and cook. They also traveled throughout the United States and abroad, including dinner at the White House twice. Lorry will be remembered for her wonderful smile and her love of people. She was a good friend to many and was always there to help. She will be missed most by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught us all respect, love, integrity and that we could do anything we set out minds to. She has left each of us a legacy of love and kindness that will remain in our hearts forever. Her husband, the love of her life, Lin Kuchler, predeceased Lorry. She is survived by her daughters, Lorelyn Homa of Alpharetta, GA, Judith Williams and her husband Peter of Tavares, FL; her son, Dr. Linton Kuchler and his wife, Pamela of Murrayville, GA: grandchildren, Kimberly Homa of Batavia, IL, Candice Homa Skelton and her husband, Jared of Suwnee, GA, Christine Williams of Charleston, SC, Rebecca Williams of Statesboro, GA, Jason Kuchler of Murrayville, Ga. and 2 great grandchildren Karsyn Raye and Karaline Alexis Skelton. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Waterman Village, Mt. Dora, FL on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
