Modesta P. Rosario

Modesta P. Rosario, 92, of Eustis, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she moved to Eustis in 1981 from Staten Island, NY. She was a member of the Hispanic Ministry at First Baptist Church of Mount Dora. Modesta is survived by her son, Mike Benitez, Brooklyn, NY; daughter, Carmen L. Nieves, Tavares, FL; sister, Marina Alejandro, Spring Hill, FL; 5 grandchildren, Diana, Nickie, Malinda, Matthew and Cristina; 6 great-grandchildren, Reese, Hunter, Hayden, Holten, Montana and Elijah. She was predeceased by her husband, Francisco Nieves and her son, Joe Abadia. Services will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 till 5:00 PM.
