Mildred "Corkey" Wheeler

Mildred " Corkey" Wheeler , 86 , passed away peacefully on July 7 , 2011. Survived by her husband, James P. Wheeler II, they have resided in the Orlando Florida, area for the past five years, although they called Hampstead North Carolina "Home". Mildred is also survived by her brother and sister, Bill Blakely and Mary Simmons, of Grants Pass, Oregon. Also by four step children, Betty Bilbrey of Williamsville, Missouri, James P. Wheeler III, of Atlanta Georgia, and Sterling Dixon and James R. Wheeler of Orlando Florida. She is further survived by stepchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. A memorial service is being held at Hampstead Baptist Church, Hampstead, NC on Wednesday, July 13, at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park in North Carolina. As Corkey was always a Giver, it is requested that donations be made to your community's Hospice or Vitas in lieu of flowers.
