Mildred W. Reid, 90, of Tavares, FL, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 31, 2010. Mildred was born August 19, 1919 in Port Hope, MI to Clifford and Winifred Johnston. She married Raymond E. Reid on June 1, 1938 in Port Hope, MI. He preceded her in death March 12, 2010. They will be rejoicing together with their Lord on their 72 wedding anniversary. They farmed in Redman until 1951 when they moved to Bad Axe, MI. While in Bad Axe, Mildred worked for Buckley’s Shoe Store and Pangborn Home and Auto Supply. They moved to Vassar, MI and lived there until Ray retired from Super Foods and they moved to Tavares, FL in 1978 where they enjoyed their retirement. She is survived by their daughter, Connie Sprague of Tavares and granddaughter, Suzanne Sprague of Port Orange, FL. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Jerry Sprague, her parents, Cliff and Winnie Johnston, two sisters, Ellen Galarno of Bad Axe and Ruth Johnson of California. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, FL on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Tom Keisler, Jr. of the First Baptist Church of Tavares officiating.
