Michael F. Matchett

Michael Francis Matchett, 72, of Leesburg, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019. Born in Ocala, Florida, he was a longtime resident of the Central Florida Area. Michael graduated from Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, FL class of 1965 where he was in the Chess Club and played Varsity Football. He worked many years in the banking industry retiring in the early 1990s. Michael was an avid golfer and was a member of the Gator Quarterback Club for many years. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Matchett, Leesburg, FL; 2 daughters, Lori (Carey) Baker, Eustis, FL, Kelli (Kevin) Griffis, Lady Lake, FL; brother, Steve Matchett, Gainesville, FL; 6 grandchildren, Leighton, Caroline, Reagan, Brandon, Collin & Tayla. A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 4:00 PM.
