Dr. Michael U. Landsman

Dr. Michael U. Landsman, 74, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born in New York, New York but raised in California. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was stationed in South Korea. Before being honorably discharged he converted to Christianity and entered into the ministry. A graduate of Southern California College of the Assemblies of God, now Vanguard University, he went on to receive his doctoral degrees. It was then he met his wife Martha to whom he was married for fifty years. He authored five books, which have been translated into multiple languages, as well as writing Bible school curricula which also have been translated into multiple languages and used in churches around the world. He was a sought after minister, teacher, and conference speaker to pastors and ministers locally and internationally. In 2003 he moved to South Africa and became a Senior Lecturer and then Dean of Rhema Training Center. In 2013 he returned to the United States and settled in Florida. Michael was the Director and content creator of the Online Bible School at The River Church at Tampa Bay. Michael is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Landsman; 2 sons, Rev. Michael Andrew (Chontey) Landsman of Palmerton, PA, Lawrence Wayne (Stephanie) Landsman of Leesburg, FL; daughter, Linda Jeanette (Rev. Mark) Crossman of Mount Dora, FL; 2 brothers, Scott Landsman of LA County, CA, Bart Landsman of LA County, CA; 6 grandchildren, Isaac, Sophia, Amanda, Vanessa, Victoria, Beau, as well as one on the way, Hannah-Rae. A memorial service will be held at theCross, Mount Dora on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:15 AM to 12:00 Noon.
