Maurine T. Jewell, 80, of Tavares, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018. Born in Bond, Kentucky, she moved to Hudson, Florida from Maimisburg, Ohio and moved to Leesburg in 2013. She was a Logistician for the US Government, Maurine loved gardening, sewing, reading, traveling and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Dexter F. Jewell, Tavares, FL; daughter, Bobbette Y. (Marty) Mattis, Crestview Hills, KY; 5 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Michael Jewell; brother, Lonnie D. Vaughn.
