Mary Kathryn Ziegengeist

Mary Kathryn Ziegengeist, 82, of Tavares, FL, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born and lived in Anderson, Indiana prior to her moving to Lake County in 1957. She was Director of Code Enforcement for the City of Eustis prior to her retirement. She was a member of Business and Professional Women of Florida, the Newcomers club, the Eustis Art League, and the Eustis Women's Club. Mary enjoyed Art and Painting as well as playing the card games Euchre and Wizard. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Jan Ziegengeist. She is survived by her 2 sons, James Mabery and his wife Sonya of Panama City, FL, Alan Sheppard and his wife Therese of San Diego, CA; 3 daughters, Kathryn Mabery of Eustis, FL; Jill Shepherd and her husband Michael of Eustis, FL and Amy Rich and her husband Greg of Eustis, FL; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Life Community Church, Eustis, FL, on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or the Eustis Art League.
