Mary Lou Galbraith, age 93, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages. Mary Lou was born on July 4, 1928 in Jonesville, Indiana to William Honn and Nellie Ogilvie. She was preceded in death by her older sister Norma and younger brother Doug. Mary Lou was married to the late Ned Galbraith in 1946 and they had three children. After a full 28 year career as a beautician, she began a new endeavor by opening her own ceramic shop in Greenwood, Indiana. She specialized in the unique process of lace draping and traveled many states to teach this technique. She was an avid card player. She played bridge and euchre twice a week. She also had a love for many crafts, including crocheting, painting, and sewing. Family was most important and she enjoyed being with every one of them. She was a loving and caring Mother and never met a stranger. Her memberships included: VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, 50+ year Member of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in Greensburg, Indiana. Mary Lou leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Carol (Richard) Vehling, Sheila Poland, and Brenda (Ron) Thompson; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday July 30 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143 with service on Saturday July 31 to begin at noon.
