Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Alge

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Alge, 91, of Eustis, FL died on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Born in Waycross, GA, she moved to Tavares in 1972 from Orlando, FL. She and her late husband, Jack Alge bought the Foodway Grocery Store and operated it till 1995. She was a Teacher at St. James Catholic School in Orlando and was a Methodist. She is survived by her daughter, Daisy C. (Glen) Waterman of Tavares, FL; niece, Sherron Rae Herold of Orlando, FL; nephew, Alan (Kay) Herron of Winder, GA. Graveside services will be held at Tavares Cemetery, Tavares on Monday, October 19, 2009, at 11:00 AM.
