Marguerite Eleanor Umphrey

September 25, 1916 — February 23, 2011

Marguerite (Peg) Hirsch Umphrey, 94 formerly of Benton Harbor, died February 23rd at her home in Leesburg, Florida.

Her death was if she had scripted it – sitting in a chair on her porch listening to “Big Band” music tapes.

She was a loving and devoted wife to Ermine for 66 years and mother to daughter Pamela (James) Clever.

Florida friends and neighbors at Shangri-La Park expressed their love and devotion to Peg by honoring her memory at a luncheon. She was the “Queen” of the Park. Her daily walks and smile inspired so many people. She was much loved.

Her husband Ermine (10/20/09) parents, sister Ruth Bizer, brothers Bob, Adolph and Fred Hirsch all preceded her in death.

Cremation has taken place according to her wishes.

Mom will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and beautiful smile and will be forever loved.

Those wishing to send a message to Pam can do so at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, Florida www.hardenpauli.com .
