Margaret "Margie" P. Newman

Margaret P. "Margie" Newman, 73, of Mount Dora, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, she moved to Mount Dora in 1947 from Pennsylvania. Margie was a graduate of the Eustis High School class of 1962. She loved St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and dedicated 36 years of her life by faithfully serving as the Parish Secretary, and was the Ministry of Caring for the whole Church. Margie loved to cook and bake and decorate cakes. Margie loved to entertain guests at her home and loved to specially decorate her home for all the holidays. She was a loving mother, especially devoted "Mi maw" to her one and only grandson. She was a devoted, caring and compassionate friend who never forgot special events in the lives of families and friends. She will be greatly missed. Margie is predeceased by her Husband, Paul Newman and Son, Paul H. Newman. She is survived by her Son, David E. Newman; Daughters, Christina L. Newman and Teresa M. Newman; and Grandson, Christopher P. Newman. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM.
