Lynn E. Rector

Lynn E. Rector, Jr., 78, of Mount Dora, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021. Born in Huntsville, Alabama, he moved to Mount Dora in 1944 as a child and graduated from Mount Dora High School class of 1961. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. He worked for Home Depot Garden Department for over 22 years at several Central Florida locations before retiring. Lynn was a Mount Dora Little League Baseball Umpire from 1975 - 1985, member of First Assembly of God, Eustis and he loved to fish in the Gulf of Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Rector, Mount Dora, FL; son, Jeffrey L. (Francesca) Rector, Deltona, FL; sister, Penny (Kerry) Antley, Grand Island, FL; 2 nephews, Chris (Elie G.) Belton, College Park, FL, Jason (Paula) Antley, Mayo, Ireland; niece, Jessica (Jordan) Schipper, Ocala, FL. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home Chapel, Eustis on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:30 AM.
