Lucille "Lucy" Wolfgong, 103, of Oxford, FL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was born in Holmes County, FL to the late Joseph R. Powers and Julia Ann (Bullram) Powers. She lived in Lake County until moving to Oxford in 1998. Lucy got saved at age 8, and was baptized in Ten mile Creek when she was 9. A Sunday School teacher for about 30 years; some of her students went on to become missionaries, pastors, Sunday school teachers and district superintendents. Lucy and her late husband, Arnold, worked with missions for many years. She was a faithful prayer warrior. Lucy delivered meals on wheels for 3 years in her 80’s to shut-ins younger than herself. She and her husband had a passion for the homeless children and helped many throughout their lifetime. Her employment throughout her working years consisted mostly of service to others and as a bookkeeper for Waterman Hospital in Eustis. In her retirement years she and her husband were blessed to be able to travel in the U.S. and Abroad, including 2 trips to Israel. She was a member of the Oxford Assembly of God for 13 years. She is predeceased by her parents; husband- Arnold W. Wolfgong in 1986; 2 brothers- Obed Elijah Powers and James Orval ”Jim” Powers; 3 sisters- Lillie Mae Price, Ruby Foxworth, and Mary Anna Powers; 2 nieces- Josephine Cox and Voncille Sanders. She is survived by son-Robert Hartzell and his wife Dee; daughter-Wilda L. Prince and her husband Hugh; 4 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 3 Nephews; and 3 Nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2010 at the Oxford Assembly of God, 12114 N. Hwy 301, Oxford, FL 34844 from 2PM - 4PM. Service will be on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Church. Interment will be held at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
