Lucille Simko, 84, of Mount Dora, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she moved to Mount Dora in 1972 from Chicago, Illinois. She was a Insurance Rater for CNA for 25 years and for Traveler's Insurance for 5 years. Lucille was an auxiliary member & President of the American Legion #49 of Chicago, IL; VFW #8087 of Eustis, FL; AMVETS #1992 of Mount Dora, FL; Moose Lodge #874 of Eustis, FL and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora. She is survived by her son, John (Carol) Simko, Tavares, FL; daughter, Marianne Parkinson, Crete, IL; 3 sisters, Barbara (Richard) Jauregui, Orlando, FL, Jeanette Clark, Lansing, IL, Dolores Schmiedel, Mount Dora, FL; 4 grandchildren, John Edward (Susan) Parkinson, Crete, IL, Andrew Casey Parkinson, Crete, IL, John S. (Tricia) Simko, IV, Orange City, FL, Brandi Marie (Roger) Britt, Mount Dora, FL; 6 great-grandchildren, P.J., Dylan, Sierra, Destiny, Hailey & Levi & numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Simko, Sr. and her son-in-law, John. The funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora. The family will receive friends at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.
